None of you would remember Julie Hughes (first photo). She was Julie Gibbes from Goulburn and Bundanoon. Her Dad was an Anglican minister so my cousin Brian reminded me. She was my girlfriend in 1962 - a beaut year. Julie was a Kambu girl. Others were Lyn Pavitt, Marg Stuckey, Barb Campbell, Kay someone, Wendy Scott, Inta Grass, Marg Anderson.... and I've forgotten the rest. I can't remember that many blokes from MY own dorm!! Rob Hughes, Merv Smith, Pix, ... Warfie, ....

That's Dino and I having a well deserved drink at a function in Canberra at the Hellenic Club back in September. The lunch was, of course, for racing women (Note: racing, not racy!) Dino helped out on the day by calling a 'phantom' Women in Racing Cup'. What a hoot! Brought the house down too! We had a couple of lovely days with he and Nola and look forward to seeing them both again soon, hopefully during the Christmas holiday break.
For those of you who saw and heard him call the Knuckle race at Lyn's in June, rest assured that there were no slips of the tongue in front of 160 women!
Dya know I had never heard a Dino race call until this year! Well done Mate. Sorry I missed it. Yeah, that call at the Knuckle Farm was priceless..... the first and the second one!
