Our previous van trip was in 2009 - in NSW. This time we thought we'd have a crack at Qld. Of course we had to have our resident saw player on tour with us - Rob Hughes.
Bernie showed us his talents by perusing the materials at ACE Drapery in Roma - a shop that you just HAVE to see to believe! Right Bernie?
Janice and Bernie have a chat with a local outside one of Barcaldine's beautiful buildings.
Here Bernie explains to Julianne how our indigenous brothers came through here and...
Janice and Bernie at Porcupine Gorge out of Hughenden.
Julianne and Rob after their climb back out of the gorge. He looks OK for a saw player / marriage celebrant doesn't he?
Hughes, Fitzpatrick and Keast - in that order. At Campaspe River near Charters Towers.

One of the big highlights was the bush poets/yarn spinners at several of the camp grounds. The two girls crouched behind saw player Rob are Melanie and Susie who entertained us for 11/2 hours on both of our 2 nights stay in Winton. Check out Melanie Hall on Google. Very talented and inspiring. So glad to have come on this adventure. Janice xoxo
