ORANGE IN OCTOBER 2010

Greetings All!

Here is the first of the info emails about the WWTC Great Gathering at Orange.

It will be held on the Long Weekend in October, 2010. The dates are 1st, 2nd, 3rd October. PLEASE KEEP THIS WEEKEND FREE!! The more the merrier!!

Accommodation will be the priority as it is an extremely busy weekend, especially for weddings so rooms will book up quickly. I have taken temporary bookings at 3 places which are all within 3 Km of my place. There are also 2 Caravan Parks (Colour City Caravan Park and Canobolas Caravan Park) but they are further away.

1. The Templers Mill Motel, Byng St, attached to the Ex-services Club, that’s your regular type motel room, and cheaper than the de Russie, very central and an easy walk to everything. They have plenty of rooms for everyone to stay together, (3 family rooms, 6 executive and 4 standard, some interconnecting) and more available on enquiry.

2. The de Russie suites in Hill St and very nice. (1 x 3 bed, 5x 2 bed, 5x 1bed - some are interconnecting. Others available you could ask about.)

3. Melview Greens…. Cabins on the outskirts of town, Ploughman’s Lane, which could be a bit inconvenient, but great spot as they are straight across the road from the Wentworth golf club. (1x 2bd, 3x studio 1 king, 1 single in same room)

Check out on the web:

de Russie: www.derussiehotels.com

Templars Mill: www.oesc.com.au

Melview Greens: www.melviewgreens.com.au

When you book just ask for the WWTC booking (Judy James)

Russell or I will keep in touch with follow-up info sheets with planned activities, meals, any costs (apart from accommodation) and some other things you might like to do in your own time.

Cheers, Judy and Russell

LET’S MAKE THIS THE BEST YET!!

NEWS ON JAN SMART

Sorry about a few things:
1 Jim should have more clothes on
2 Photo was taken maybe a year ago
3 That I am actually giving you this update on Jan.
..........
..........
Fay and I called on Jan today. It was pretty special because their 3 daughters, Selina, Jenny and Emily were there when we called in at Selina's place in Gerringong.
Jan has finally been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. She goes in next week for treatment next week. Think her chemo treatment is 1 day per fortnight for about 14 weeks.
..........
We all wish Jan a speedy recovery. It'll obviously take a while, but they are quite positive and we both thought Jan was actually in good spirits. Go Smarties!!
